Christmas in Wyoming

We had a great time seeing all of Louis' family out west for the Holidays! The girls had a blast with their 15 cousins all under grandma's roof ALL AT ONCE! It was a party for sure!

Baylee and Savana couldn't get enough of Grandma and Grandad's princess horse while they were there! According to Baylee, she is a princess because her name is Belle (like in Beauty and the Beast) and because she is all white. They rode her every chance the weather was good.
Louis is driving the wagon that his dad made here...really neat and a lot of fun!Baylee loved the Wyoming snow! We don't get much of that here in Florida, so it was a special treat for her!Sledding with cousin Olivia! Grandma Cynde spoiled all of the girls with matching tutu ensembles, purses, and make up! They were in heaven! Christmas in Florida

We spent Christmas Eve and Day at home in Florida before leaving for our trip out west! We had a really fun and great Christmas this year.

Here are the girls posing on Christmas Eve in their new Christmas princess jammies. It's our family tradition to get new PJs!

We also like to act out the Nativity story on Christmas Eve which is always a hit with the kids. Here is Louis as the donkey with 2 pregnant Mary's riding on top. (We had to modify the story a little!) Here is Baylee as Mary and Macy as Joseph with a baby doll as baby Jesus (Macy would not sit still long enough to be baby Jesus as originally planned by Baylee!). Here are the girls Christmas morning so excited to start opening presents! Even Macy knew what was going on, she couldn't sit still and was happy as can be!Macy got a new music walker and a pillow pet...Savana got Candy (of course!) and a new princess scooter...Baylee got new clothes and a Barbie Jeep (her favorite present ever)!Louis got a zip line for the back yard and some new clothes too.And for the grand finale I got the best gift ever... A NEW CAR!!!! Louis really surprised me this year with my dream family car... A GMC Acadia! I absolutely love it! He hid it overnight on the side of the house so I wouldn't see it in the morning until he surprised me...I was in tears when I saw it! Thank you honey for the best Christmas ever...I love you as much as my new ride :)

The Good and The Not So Good of December

December was a roller coaster of sicknesses and celebrations in our home. It all started on December 2nd when I ran my poor Macy to the ER because she was super sick! She ended up being admitted and had to stay over night since the doctors diagnosed her with RSV, Pneumonia, and a double ear infection!!! It broke my heart to see her so sick and in the hospital again. But luckily she recovered quickly.The following week Savana started with the stomach virus and passed it to most of the fam :(. She ended the week with an acute outbreak of hives and I had to take her to the urgent care center for treatment. After some meds and monitoring she was thankfully better. On December 7th Louis turned the BIG 30!!!!! Unfortunately, we all had the stomach bug on his birthday week, including Lou! It was pretty awful, but we still managed to open presents and do some celebrating. I got Lou a trip to Costa Rica which we are going on next month! We are super excited! Lou had his favorite sushi dinner on his birthday. The bug didn't set in until the end of the week for him which was good and bad because at least he wasn't sick on his birthday. But the bad part was that we had to run the Miami Rock and Roll 1/2 Marathon over the weekend and he was too sick to finish it. We are planning to do another one to make up for it!
We waited an entire week after Lou's birthday for everyone to feel better to have cake so we could all enjoy it! On December 15th, my Old Karma turned twelve! I can't believe she is that old already. She is hanging in there good though!Baylee had her Hanukkah program celebration at her preschool the last day before the winter break. We all went to watch our Jewish American Princess sing and dance her Hebrew songs away and she did great!Baylee finished her first soccer season undefeated! She started off not wanting to play to being one of the best players on the team and scoring lots of goals by the end! I am so proud of her! Over the Holiday, Baylee had 2 weeks off of school and we had a lot of fun family days.

We had picnics at the park.......took rides in the bike trailer to see the neighborhood Christmas decorations......Macy got to join her sisters in the big bath tub in her new bath chair... ...we explored new local parks with friends......decorated gingerbread houses with more friends (but mostly ate the candy decorations!)And took evening drives to see lots of beautiful Christmas lights!We also had a very nice Ward Christmas Party at Church where the youth put on a beautiful Nativity program that the kids loved! Baylee and Savana talked about it for days! They just love the story about baby Jesus!A Christmas decoration or a hat? We had a lot of fun in November, especially since it was my birthday month :)

We started the month off with Baylee and Savana beginning a new season of gymnastics. It was the first time for Savana and she just loved it!

Macy tried the swings out at the park for the first time this month and learned to sit up as soon as she turned 6 months old! And she just loves doing both!Below is my favorite pic of the month...Because it always makes me happy when my princesses are having a fun time together (kinda rare for these two)! Lou surprised me with an amazing birthday dinner at Ruth Chris Steak House (my fav place to eat)! My birthday present was a family photo session...I will be adding those pix at the end :) And of course the sweetest homemade card from Lou and the girls that I will treasure forever!We spent Thanksgiving with great friends from our Church. Their kids are about the same age as ours so it was a lot of for everyone! FAMILY PIX 2011...

Savana had a great birthday week! We did our little family celebration at home on her actual day with dinner at Chick-fil-A and had an ice cream cake and family gift opening! She loved it! Now let the party begin! She had a Minnie Mouse birthday party at the park and we invited all of her cute little friends from church! Everyone had a blast! Savana just loved her bounce house!And the face painting!Here is the fabulous cake my parents made for Savana's party! It was amazing looking (before the hot Florida heat started to melt it) and unbelievably tasting! Thank you Omi and Opa!My very talented mom also made these cute chocolate treats for the kids! My 2 Year Old, My Soccer Player, & My Eater!

Savana turned 2 on October 25th. She is such a joy in our lives! Here are some things about my angel:
-She is 32 1/4 inches tall and weighs 23 pounds
-She is potty trained-yeah!
-She loves to go to the park
-She loves to eat everything
-She will do anything for a lolly pop!
-She talks full sentences
-She loves to play soccer with her dad!
-She adores her baby sister to death
-She loves Minnie Mouse
-She still has blue eyes
-Her hair finally started to grow in this year!
-She loves to look at family pictures
-Her favorite song is 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star'
-She loves to play with Play-Dough
-She loves to dance with her big sister
-And she has the sweetest disposition!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAVANA, WE LOVE YOU! Baylee started playing soccer this fall and I couldn't be prouder! I am officially a "Soccer Mom"! She loves to play and does really well (mostly because she knows we will buy her a treat from the concession stand if she does)! Macy started eating solids this month and she is doing great! I have to make her home made organic food. It's a lot of work when you have 3 kids but her health is most important! We are so blessed that she continues to do so well!

Macy Update

We are so blessed for Macy's good health! She is 5 months old now and doing better than ever!Since her 4 month check up she has improved so well that she was able to drop her liver meds and only has to take her vitamin supplements. She has been growing like she is suppose to, if not more! She is in the 90th percentile in height and weight! Right now she is 16 lbs. and 26.5 inches tall. She is our most alert and strongest baby too. When she is awake she talks all day long like she is really trying to tell you something and she is always on the move! She is constantly rolling over and spinning her body around or jumping in her jumparoo! She loves the outdoors and just loves to go on walks in her stroller, swing at the park, or be in the pool. Baylee and Savana can make her laugh on a dime. It is so sweet. She really loves her big sisters and they can't get enough of her! Here are the latest of my little Angel! We just love her.

Disney!

The Girls were spoiled with Disney this past month! They had front row seats at the Disney on Ice show and even got to meet the characters after! Then we went up to Orlando to actually go to Disney World! We spent one day at Magic Kingdom and one day at Animal Kingdom. We had our first family vacation with 3 little ones. Despite being out numbered we did great and all the girls had a fun time, even Macy!

Baylee was in charge of the Map...really, she pointed to the ride she wanted to do and that's where we went!Macy's first ride was Aladdin's Magic Carpet.And the whole fam got to ride togetherSavana was in Popsicle heaven!Baylee was in her element with all the rides!This was the best tea party I've ever had with my girls! Within one week all 3 of my little girls have made some big steps...Baylee learned how to ride her bike without any training wheels...thanks to inspiration from her 2 year old cousin Gracyn!

Savana at 22 months is fully potty trained, yeah! I am VERY grateful to only have one child in diapers!
Savana loves to brush her teeth all by herself too and thinks she had to do it after every time she goes potty! I couldn't be prouder!At 4 months old Macy is rolling over and really loves to be on her tummy! Here she is on camera!

August Fun!

We started the month of August off with my and Lou's six year Wedding Anniversary on the 3rd! This past year has been very humbling for us with the trials that we faced with Louis and Macy's health. It brought us closer than ever before. I know I couldn't have gotten through it without my faith and the wonderful man I married! He is my rock, my lover, and my best friend and everything in between! I love him and need him everyday more than ever. I love you Lou, you are the best husband and man I know! Here's to 6 more plus some!
Our Anniversary date was the first date night without any kids since Macy was born 3 months earlier...it was definitely needed and so much fun!Louis surprised me with Tickets to the Spain Vs. Mexico sold out soccer game with 76,000 people (the most fans ever at any soccer match in the state of Florida)! He even got box seats and a catered dinner! It was a blast! Thank you honey!!!!We had another great date night shortly after where we went out to dinner for one of our closest friend's birthdays. We ate at Barton G...a really unique restaurant in Miami (notice our fun plate presentations)!We also did a lot of fun family things in August like going to the beach and swimming in the pool everyday! The Beach at Key Biscayne Light HouseThe Beach at Dania PierPoor Macy got a binky sunburn on her little face after all those beach days Th girls had lots of pool fun with dad in the backyard! It was Macy's first time in the pool too:)Superdad!Here is Baylee on the first day of school! This will be her last year of Preshool, then she is off the Kindergarten. Savana wanted me to take pictures of her too, so how could I resist! She is really the sweetest girl I know. I just love her to death. Her personality and cute little face just melts my heart. Since Baylee started Pre-K Savana and I have had a lot more one on one time between Macy's naps and it is something I look forward to everyday! She is the best buddy and just loves to hang out with mom. I plan an activity with her every day and she gets so excited about them! She just loves to have my attention all to herself. Even though she doesn't show it, it has been hard to be "the middle child" with her dominating older sis and sick new baby sis. She is always smiling and happy no matter what and is the most easy going child. I just started potty training her and she has been doing great! It has been harder with two other kids schedules, but she just seems to know what to do even when I don't remind her to go. She just brings me her potty seat bowl and says with a big smile on her face "Mommy, I go pee pee!" I am so proud of her! I love you Savana Dahn!

Miracles

Everyday is a miracle in our home. At 3 months old my Macy Anna is doing so well despite her rough start into this world. I know in my heart it is because of our family and friend's continual prayer for her health. God is really listening. She is growing and gaining weight the way she is suppose to and her labs have all gotten closer to the normal range. At her 3 month check up she weighed 13.2 lbs. and was 24 inches long. This is all a huge improvement and we are so blessed. She's looking and acting so healthy and happy too. She is also a great eater and sleeper and such an easy going baby! We are so blessed! The Isom Family Takes Colorado

THE ISOM FAMILY 2011...We had a different venue this year for Louis' family reunion and it was a blast! We stayed at Louis'sister's house in Wellington Colorado and did some fun local stuff as well as the beautiful Colorado site seeing! The girls of course had so much fun with all their 14 cousins under the same roof! It was a constant party for every one!

Uncle Porter taking the kids for a ride...actually Savana is behind the wheel, better watch out she means business!And she's off!The first day the kids had a pinata bashing candy eating fest! The new and even newer cousins made their debuts too! Macy (10 weeks old) and Meg (1 week old!) had some girl time together :) The second day we went to the lake and did some boating and beach fun!

Even the newbies came to the beach to get a little sunshine! We all did some skiing and boarding, even my 4 year old! Let me tell you, it was one sandy tub!On the 3rd day we ventured out to the beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park for a little hiking! The scenery was amazing! Here's Colorado's Bear LakeCrew hiked the entire way up to the falls and back down! Poor Savana tried to keep up with her buddy... ...but only made it about halfway with her little legs.Baylee was attached to her cousin Courtney's hip the entire vacation! She just loves her to death! Thank you Court for being so sweet to her!At the top of the fallsHeading back down...and yes those newbies came right along for the hike!Macy and Mom in the Rockies!On our way home we stopped at a fun park and did some rides!On the 4th Day we did a family scavenger hunt and an evening at the park. The boys did some shooting during the day and the ladies had a spa night (Oh Yeya!).

Macy meets her Opa!

On July 21st we flew to Sacramento to visit my parents and my dad got to meet his grand daughter Macy for the first time! It was a really special moment since they both had been going through a hard couple of months together! Now they are both doing so well and are getting healthier everyday! Here are all of my girls with their Opa at the airport right after we landed!

Summer Time

We have had a lot going on this summer between Macy's health and moving into a new house. I am still unpacking and trying to get settled and on a good schedule with the kids. We are so thankful for great friends and neighbors and wonderful family that have helped us with everything, especially Louis' mom! She dropped everything and jumped on a plane to help Louis with the older girls when I had to leave up north with Macy for a week. You are the best grandma and mom Cynde, and we are so grateful for you! Here are some pix from the last couple of months of our crazy life...

At the beginning of June we had some graduations in the Fam. Baylee had her preschool graduation ceremony and did a great job singing. Uncle Roger graduated from his Anesthesiology Residency from UM and after 12 years is FINALLY done with school for good! We are so proud of him! Good luck with your new job in California, we are going to miss you!
These were taken when Macy turned 1 month old. It was the day before I left with her to Cincinnati Children's Hospital, before her diagnosis. My Baylee is only 4 years old, but she seemed to know that her baby sister wasn't doing well and always showed concern. She has so much love for Macy, it is so sweet. She rarely leaves her side. Our sweet little Savana just copies her too. They both adore Macy to death. She is a very lucky girl!
Before grandma Cynde left we took her to the beach and Macy tagged along for the first time! It was a great day!Baylee and Grandma Cynde swimming laps in our new pool! 6 weeks old...After only one week of meds and supplements she was starting to look a lot healthier!
On Jun 18, 2011 the Ft. Lauderdale Temple had it's ground breaking ceremony! It's going to be built just 2 miles from our new home. Here is a pic of the grounds when we drove by the ceremony. It will take a couple of years to finish, but we so excited about it already!June 19, 2011, Daddy and his girls on Father's Day! You are the BEST dad ever honey!!!The kiddos on the 4th of JulyLouis and Baylee did the traditional 4th of July Pinewood Derby at out Church and almost won it all!My American girls!Macy just turned 2 months old and is doing so well! She is gaining weight and is not jaundice anymore. She smiles all the time and is such a happy little girl! We are so grateful for her health and that our prayers are being answered!

Macy's Diagnosis

Finally after 5 LONG horrible weeks of blood tests, hospital visits, scans, biopsies, sleepless nights, etc...our little Macy was diagnosed with Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency. This is a liver disease in infants and a lung disease in adults. Unfortunately it is also a genetic disease that was passed down by Louis and I since we unknowingly were carriers of the specific genotype. It is a very rare disease to detect and that is why it took so long to know what was wrong with her. All of our kids have a 25% chance of inheriting this. We will have both Baylee and Savana tested because they too can have the genotype and not show symptoms yet. We are REALLY praying that they do not! We are very grateful to finally have an answer for Macy though. Now we can move on to treating her. She will have to be on meds and supplements everyday and constantly be watched. She needs to be thriving and gaining weight like all healthy infants. Her next 2 years of life are crucial for her liver to make it. So far she is doing well despite having the condition. We are praying everyday that she continues to. Here are some pix in between all of the mess we were going through. Thank you again for everyone's prayers.

Macy's Baby Blessing

Sunday May 15, 2011 was a very special day for us. Our little Macy Anna was given a beautiful Baby Blessing at Church by her dad. She was just 5 days old but we wanted some of our family that were in town to be there. And with her being sick, we felt it was the right time to do it. It was a very emotional blessing for me and I cried through it all. After the blessing Louis handed Macy right to Baylee and she was so proud to be the one to get to hold her. It was so sweet of him because it made Baylee's little life. She was just glowing! She sat the rest of the meeting holding her and never moving or saying a word (that has never happened in church!). It was so sweet to see how much she loves her baby sister. Louis had to give a talk in Sacrament meeting that made me keep crying through the hour. He did so great as always. I am so proud of my family!

Finally...

She Finally came! And Finally I am updating my BLOG!
Macy Anna Isom was born on May 10th 2011 at 8:13pm, weighing 8 lbs. 4 oz. and was 19.5 inches long. She came 8 days past her due date but was the fastest delivery I could ever imagine having. I made it to the hospital just in time to push her out! My contractions puttered for 30 hours before that...until my water broke! And she was here about an hour later! It was the most intense hour of my life, especially the 30 minute drive to the hospital! All the hypnobirthing I had been practicing for the last 9 months went out the window. I lost all focus because the contractions were so long and intense and so close together. I was also scared that I was going to have her in the car! Poor Louis was driving 90 mph in the emergency lane and running every red light and calling the hospital all at the same time. We were so afraid that he would be the one delivering her! It was quite the adventure. Right out of the movies!

The moment she enterered the world, we were in love. She arrived beautiful and healthy as can be! We were such proud parents of another little angel and enjoying every new second with her. But what we were about to learn 2 days after her birth was something we were not prepared for. Her blood tests came back with dangeroulsy high direct bilirubin levels, a sign that her bile was not being broken down or excreted from her liver. As the days passed her numbers kept increasing. We even had to stay an extra day in the hospital and had to return for more tests the following weeks to rule out any life threatening illnesses or disorders. Right now she still looks and acts healthy and normal so it is hard to imagine anything wrong with her. But the doctors say that that is how liver diseases are, especially in newborns. The disease progresses over time and eventually she will have ill signs and symptoms. We are still in the process of finding out exactly what is wrong with her liver. We find out her results soon and we are really praying that it will be something mimimal.

So needless to say it has been a difficult few weeks in our home. We are grateful for all of our friends and family that have supported us and helped us get through each day. We APPRECIATE everyone's prayers! It has been really hard for me to stay stong and be there for my other girls. But they have kept me going. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and dad for Macy and that she has two older sisters that absoultely adore her. Baylee prays for her every night and that brings me to tears every time.

The Waiting Game!

I never thought that I would go 8 days past my due date with this baby, but here I sit! It has been hard physically and mentally. I have tried just about every natural method of induction too. My poor dad is leaving to go back to California today and won't even be able to meet her. I've been telling her everyday how excited we all are to see her and she still refuses to come! Louis says she is already a 'stubborn Isom'!

On a happy note, I did have a wonderful Mother's Day with my family. It was really nice to spend it with my own mom and girls! I am so grateful to have such a great mom in my life and to be a mom of almost 3 little Angels!

Easter 2011

Here are my Easter Egg Hunters! Our Church had a fun Easter egg hunt and brunch on Saturday. Baylee had a great time, but my poor Savana started to spike a bad fever that morning which lasted for the next 48 hours. All 4 of her canines were coming in at once! So she had a pretty rough Easter weekend. I made the girls fun Baskets this year with things I knew they would love! And they did! Louis hid the baskets around the house and Baylee had a ball looking all around over for them.After church we had a little Isom Egg Hunt in the back yard and Louis dyed Easter eggs with Baylee while I comforted my sick Savana. I am so glad I didn't go into labor that weekend because she really needed her mommy during those couple of days.

But it's go time now! I am officially on maternity leave and I am so ready! My parents are flying in today and it's down to 2 days til' D-day. The kids are healthy, my bags are packed and the house is cleaned and in order!

It's time to come and meet the world my little Angel!

...YEAH! I really can't wait to meet my baby girl! I am ready to pop, but I hope she waits until my mom and dad fly in on Saturday so I can have some help with my other kiddos! I have been keeping busy with getting everything ready for her arrival and packing up our house since we will be moving into our new home in a month! And in between, I am still working a few days a week!

In the last week I also had 2 wonderful sprinkles thrown by my friends from Church and work! It was super nice of everyone to still shower me even if I am having my 3rd girl! I got lots of cute gifts and needed things!

Louis and I & the girls also fit in a two day get away to the beautiful Gulf of Mexico at the Naples Beach Resort last week! We all had a great time!

36 Weeks Already?

Yes, I can't believe I will be a mom of another little princess in less than a month! Time really has gone by FAST! I am due on May 2nd...we will see if she comes early like Baylee or late like Savana. Except for my back aching by the end of the day, I am feeling great! I had an ultrasound done yesterday and she is in the right position for another VBAC and so far weighs 6 1/2 pounds (if she goes to her due date she will be 8 1/2 lbs!) and everything else looked great the doc said. I am praying that this delivery will go faster than Savana's who took 23 hours-ahhh! Baylee is getting so excited for another new baby in the house, but Savana really doesn't understand what is about to happen to her. Hopefully she won't take it so bad. Here is the latest pic of the bump!Baylee had a Fashion Show last week at her preschool and she just loved it! It was really cute to see her strut her stuff on stage! Baylee's "Big Girl" Trip To California

Last week we shipped Baylee off to my parent's house for 5 days in California and she had the best time of her life! I never thought I would be apart from her when she is only 4 years old, but she REALLY wanted to go! She flew out there with my brother and thought she was such a big girl to be able to go on an airplane and go on a vacation without her mom and dad. Louis and I were pretty sad not having her around (Savana didn't mind the peace!), but she said she never missed us! She really had the best time out there and it was so nice for her to bond with my parents and brother. Omi and Opa really spoiled her to death! She got to go skiing, swimming, sledding, Chuck E. Cheeses, etc... but most important she had 100% attention on her all of the time!

Savana's hair just started growing over night and I can finally put her hair in pig tails! YEAH RIGHT, I WISH!!!! At 16 months old, she still has very litle hair and the other day I saw this cute hair band with hair and I couldn't resist! It looks pretty real to me and its a lot of fun :)

I just love Valentine's Day. This year the girls got matching princess shirts that say "Be Mine" instead of candy from us, which they loved. But probably not as much as they loved the candy they got in the mail from their grandmas :) Thanks for thinking of us Grandma Cynde & Omi! Louis took me to a great Japanese Steakhouse for dinner, bought me some sunglasses and new crocs, and made me a sweet card. Thank you honey for the very entertaining and yummy dinner date and for spoiling me AGAIN! You are the best! I love you my little Valentines and their Daddy! I am so blessed to be your mommy and wife!

There is always something special about your first born's birthday. They are the ones that made you a parent. My Baylee Rose turned 4 on February 1st. It still amazes me how fast time goes by. Four years ago I became a mom and now I am only a few months away from have three little angels! I can't be more blessed in my life. I feel like the luckiest person in the world when I look at my wonderful husband and beautiful children.

Grandma Cynde and Grandad came down to visit last week and to help out with Louis' 2nd surgery. Thank goodness everything went so well this time! He has his 3rd and hopefully last surgery on February 23rd. Please keep him in your prayers!

Baylee and Savana were of course spoiled with attention by Louis' parents and Baylee even got the coolest 3 wheeler from them for an early birthday present!

The week between Christmas and New Years was a lot of fun with Omi and Opa! But it went by way too fast. Here are some pix of all the fun!
Opa took Savana on her first merry-go-round ride. She actually loved it and didn't want to get off when it was over and cried to go on again and again! Omi took Baylee ice skating for the first time and she did really well for her first time. Oops!Racing cars at the mall!As an early birthday gift my parents got Baylee some roller skates. Once she masters this then we will go ice skating more often! She just loves to do both and takes it very seriously! Omi gave Baylee a hair cut and then we straightened her hair for the first time and she just loved it. Now she wants me to do it all the time and says she loves straight hair better. If the girl only knew how beautiful her curly hair was! I guess we all want what we don't have!Along with my parents and Louis, Baylee had her teeth cleaned at my office! She did really well to! I wish some of my adult patients could be as happy as she was going to the dentist!Even Savana got an exam with her 9 little teeth! New Years Eve fireworks!And a delicious New Years Eve Fondue!We just hung out with my parents at the house for the New Year celebration. We look like we had too much Champagne here, but the truth is we were both so tired by midnight we could barely keep our eyes open to drink some sparkling cider. We are a couple of sad partiers I tell you! On New Years day we went to watch the MIAMI HEAT play and it was an unbelievable game! We had great seats to a sold out game and it was just so exciting b/c the Heat were down by 20 and came back to win it! It was so much fun!

Christmas Weekend 2010

We had a really great Christmas with my family visiting! My parents flew in for the week from Cali and my brother had the entire weekend off from the hospital! We had a lot of fun and the girls loved all the attention from their Omi and Opa, and Uncle Roger. There is nothing better than spending the holidays with family!

On Christmas Eve the girls got to open one gift each, the traditional new pair of jammies!

Getting up Christmas morning was good and bad. The good part was that the girls slept in until 8am (unlike last year, Baylee was up at 5am!), but the bad part was that Savana's diaper leaked and her bedding and new jammies were all wet. But it all made for a cute pic...here she is cleaned up (without anything on of course) with her first toy from Santa! Quick family pic before the craziness began!Omi and Opa Clause!This little girl loved Christmas as much as her big sis!Uncle Roger got Savana a personalized stuffed animal that says her name and sings her favorite songs and so much more! I also got a new camera that fits in the palm of my hand, so I am not always lugging my big heavy SLR to every little outing and embarrassing my husband!Louis and Roger got new kicks!And Louis got his remote control helicopter he's always wanted!My favorite gift to give this year was to my mom the yoga queen! I got her a personalized "I love Yoga" hand stamped necklace! She just loved it! My dad who has recently gotten into Yoga himself, got a new extra thick Yoga mat!Baylee got just what she asked for from Santa...lots of diapers for her babies! Louis and I got her a changing station to go with it and she was really surprised and excited! She uses it everyday for her many many diaper changes! Louis got Baylee and himself dart guns too! They are always chasing each other with these guns now. The girls got a mini trampoline from Grandma Cynde and Grandad! Thanks, its a great hit! Omi and Opa got them a Little Tykes car! It is also a great hit! I definitely have some catching up to do with this BLOG! The past couple of months have gone by pretty fast for us. It was my birthday in November and I was of course spoiled with a great birthday week! I had the day off from work and we had a nice dinner with friends and my brother at Houstons. Another night Louis took me to the Zac Brown Band concert and it was one of the best concerts I have ever been to! We did game night one night with friends and I got to play my favorite game, Settlers! My girls colored me a beautiful card with help from dad and Louis got me really fancy diamond earrings that I just can't take off! They are so beautiful!!!! And to top it off he bought us a house!!! No, not really for my birthday, it just happen to be on that week. We were't planning on buying for awhile, but we just couldn't give up on such a great deal! It is in my favorite area in South Florida and still in our church boundaries. It is a ranch style house that sits on an acre of land! The lot size is pretty rare around here unless you have lots of mulla (which we don't)! Like I said, we got a GREAT deal! The house needs a lot of work before we move in, but it will be worth the investment! We are hoping all the renovations will be finished before this next baby comes in May!

For Thanksgiving we were very nontraditional! I am almost embarrassed to admit it. But we spent the day with our closest friends and their family who are such good people. Since they are not American and are from Argentina they really don't have a traditional Thanksgiving. They invited us out to an Argentine Steak House where we had a really fancy all you can eat buffet (without any Turkey of course). Then we went to the County Fair with them. It was actually a lot of fun and the dinner was really delicious! Who knows, this might be our new tradition!

The Fair on Thanksgiving The following weekend we bought a tree and Uncle Roger came over to help decorate with his nieces! The girls went to see Santa at the mall and I couldn't believe how well Savana did on his lap! She didn't mind a bit. When Baylee was her age she was petrified of Santa! Both girls did really great this year!

On the first day of Chanukah, we had Baylee's Preschool Holiday program and she did so good. There is a video of her that I am trying to upload, where in the middle of one of the songs Savana starts to walk up to the stage and Baylee stops singing and tries to get her teacher's attention about her sister. It is pretty funny! Hopefully I can get it to work. The following Day on December 2nd, Louis went in for the first of two brain surgeries for his AVM. This one went really well! Luckily with today's technology, they were able to go into his head with any incisions. It's amazing! We are praying that they won't ever have too in the future either. Despite the surgery going so well, Louis did have a pretty rough recovery. He is back to normal now and feels great, but we definitely had a little scare for awhile! His next surgery is at the end of January so please keep him in your prayers.

Grandma Cynde and Grandad came down for Louis' surgery to be there for him and to help me with the girls. One night we took Grandma Cynde to a live Nativity at a local church and Baylee was just in awe! I think she thought this was the real deal! She was just amazed at the live animals and the entire Christmas pageant. So when we got home she had to do her own little Nativity scene right away!

The following week was Louis' birthday week, but he was out of commission from his surgery so we celebrated over the weekend and were able to go to a fun Christmas party with all of our friends. They had a Gingerbread house contest and we won 2nd place, oh yeah! Then on Sunday we grilled out with my brother and had some yummy ice cream cake for Lou! We also celebrated our latest news too. We are having a our 3rd girl and are VERY excited!!

On Louis' birthday we went to have our 20 week ultrasound and we are very excited to announce that we are having baby girl #3! She is as healthy as can be too! We are very blessed and the best birthday gift Louis could ever have. My due date is confirmed for May 2nd. Yeah, right before the real Florida heat sets in! I couldn't ask for a better pregnancy so far either. I've hardly felt I was pregnant until now, since I am starting to feel her move...which is great because it is one of my favorite things in the world to feel my babies! Savana's First Birthday

My little baby girl Savana turned ONE on October 25th! Where did the time go? It has been a wonderful year with her in our life. We are so blessed to have her. She has truly been an angel for us!

There are so many things I can write about her, but here are just a few...dozen!

-She weighs 17.14 lbs, and is 28 inches tall
-She Still has blue eyes (and the longest lashes ever!), but very little hair on her head
-She's been walking since 10 months old and is climbing everything now
-She has 4 teeth, 2 central incisors on bottom and 2 canines on top (a little scary)!
-She sleeps 12 hours every night and naps good once a day
-She says "hi, mom, dad, & book," and babbles all day long
-She loves to wave at everyone
-She LOVES, loves ,loves food! She eats all day long and everything! I am so happy for that!
-She loves to be tickled and chased and can't stop laughing in the process
-She loves the park, especially the swings
-She does not like to sit still, especially when changing her diaper
-She is in love with her daddy. If he is in the room, she is always with him

Europe Trip 2010

We had a wonderful vacation visiting all of my family in Europe! We first went to see my mom's side of the family in Switzerland and then my dad's side in Austria. The girls did so well traveling and had such a great time meeting everyone for the first time. We were all spoiled with amazing hospitality and food! We are so grateful for the wonderful time that we had together!

We went to Vienna where my dad was born and raised and visited his family. We spent the day at the famous Prater park in the city. Baylee was in heaven with all the rides.

A Sweet Surprise!

Yes, we are expecting baby #3!!!!! We are very excited about this little surprise!!! I am 12 weeks along and due at the beginning of May. Baylee is so happy that she is going to be a big sister again, but is requesting only a little brother! We will see if three times a charm! It has been an easy pregnancy so far. I didn't even know I was expecting until I was 8 weeks along and with permission from my doc I was still able to do the Miami Triathlon when I was 9 weeks along! I know, I am a little crazy! We just returned from our family trip to Europe and I can't wait to post pix for everyone to see! We had such a great time! Enjoy the pix of our newest little munchkin!

I did my first real sprint distance triathlon this past weekend! It was a quarter mile swim, 13 mile bike, and a 5k run. I'm not going to lie, it was pretty hard, but I am glad I did it! My hubby and kiddos were such good sports to come out and cheer me on. They had to get up at the crack of dawn and poor Louis with his injured back had to watch those tired and hot and NOT so happy little girls all by himself! Thanks honey for your support, you are the best! It was pretty exhausting for all of us, but worth it in the end :)

We started off August with the Swiss Independence Day dinner on August 1st. We celebrated the 719th year of their Independence, wow! We all enjoyed a great traditional Swiss dinner!

On August 3rd Louis and I celebrated our 5thWedding Anniversary! We went to Key Biscayne for a really nice dinner over looking the Bay. It was very beautiful! Thank you my #1 for the best years of my life! I love you forever...

Baylee ended her first year of gymnastics and has learned and improved so much! She just loves it too!

I had to throw this pic in the mix because it is too cute! Baylee had gathered her babies to teach them a Primary lesson last week. She is the Sunbeam teacher and she is singing hymns and reading scriptures to them! She is already a great example to me, I couldn't be prouder!

Some good and bad news here. Louis stopped walking and Savana started! Poor Louis threw his back out again and can barely move around. He bought this new contraption that really seems to help with the rehab! Of course Baylee gets a free ride out of it :)

And here is my little Savana girl at 9 months cruising all around the house with Baylee's doll stroller! She just loves to be on her feet and never wants to stop going!
Baylee had her first day of Preschool this week at the JCC again! She loves her new teachers and they just love her. They told me that she is quite the helper and likes to show all the kids what to do! I just hope she doesn't boss the teacher's around too much :-0 Here are Savana's 10 month pics I took the other day. She is so much fun to shoot with that sweet little face. She hit a big mile stone today-she can walk on her own! Wow, that is 2 months ahead of when her big sis started!!! As strong as she is, she is a tiny little one! Baylee was a lot bigger and taller at this age. She only weighs 17.4 lbs. and is 27 1/2 inches tall. She still doesn't have any teeth, but eats everything like she does! She says Mom and Dad clearly. She is slowly getting some hair and still has her light blue eyes, yeah! She is a happy baby 99.9% of the time! We all just love her to death!

Not only because it is so beautiful and relaxing but because it is only a 30 minute flight from our home and you don't change time zones and you can use American money and not spend so much and it is kid friendly! It is literally the perfect vacation getaway for us!!! Here are some pix from our adventure!

What do you do when it's 90 degrees? Yep, go swimming! We definitely appreciate having a pool in the back yard during the summer! Savana just loves the water as much as Baylee does ...

Did I mention she loves to exercise and eat her carrots! That's my good girl :)

Six Months...

I can't believe it's been six months since this little angel came into our lives. She turned 6 months on the 25th and is a healthy 15.3 lbs. and 25 inches in length. I can count 3 rolls on her cute legs too :) She is almost sitting up on her own and says "dadadada" all day long (Louis is loving that!). She loves to jump in her jumper and eat her solids. She loves my homemade organic baby food...carrots, pears, sweet potatoes, parsnips, etc...!! She is our little smiler and is looking like Baylee more and more everyday. We are so blessed to have these little girls!

Easter In Wyoming

It was a cold but very fun Easter for Baylee and Savana! We went out to visit Louis's family in Utah and Wyoming and got to see a lot of friends and family. It snowed the entire time we were there, but it was nice to have a change of scenery from the usual Florida weather. Baylee even got to build a big snowman and ride horses.

Despite the horrible bug in our home this month, my girls managed a little photo shoot in frilly dresses for Easter Pix in between sicknesses! And they did so good...
Savana turned 5 months old on the 25th and she is hitting all of her milestones. Her new tricks are rolling over and over and over..., grabbing everything in sight and never letting go, making cute happy sounds constantly, and laughing a lot (especially for Baylee, she just loves her big sis!).
We managed to make it to "Disney on Ice" after everyone felt better and Princess Baylee was in heaven!

We got to meet Cinderella before the show and she couldn't believe it!
She was also so excited to see Ariel during the show!

This girl is going to make a great mom. So the other day Louis and I found Baylee in Savana's crib, quiet as can be, during Savana's nap changing her diaper while she was still asleep. Depsite being upset with her for going into Savana's crib, she did a great job! She knows she is not allowed to change her diaper without us there anymore, but we were definitely impressed. She even used wipes and put on the butt paste and had her all dressed again. All that practice with her dolls really paid off. So here she in all her glory under my supersvision! Our Savana is such a great sport too...just look at her face!

Good News

I took the girls to the Doctors for their 3 month and 3 year old check ups and we got the best news about Savana! After her latest ultra sound a couple of weeks ago, they fond that her kidneys have gone back to normal and she no longer has any hydrosis (fluid retention in her kidneys). She had had this the entire time I was pregnant with her and even right after she was born. We are so happy and grateful that it has resolved on its own! The doc said that both of my girls are healthy and growing great. Savana is 13.4 lbs. and 24 inches long and Baylee is 32 lbs. and 37.5 inches tall. So to celebrate, Savana got her ears pierced! You can see a little bling on one of her ears in this pic.

Baylee turned 3 on Feb. 1st! Besides being sick (you could never tell) she had a great day! We opened family presents at home and then went to Chuck E. Cheese for her birthday party where she invited a few friends. She insisted on a Diego party too. I even walked her down the isle at the party store to show her all of the different girl party themes, but no, she only wanted Diego. I even asked about having a Dora & Diego party, but she only wanted him. So a Diego party it was. But it turned out a lot of fun and it made her the happiest!!!

In the morning she woke up to balloons in her room (thanks to the Huntsman family tradition that we just love!).

Birthday Cake time! This year I didn't have to make Baylee's cake because she really wanted an ice cream cake (she doesn't like cake anyway, only ice cream). So I was off the hook and all I had to do was decorate it with some Diego stuff and she was so happy!

Baylee has been such a joy in our lives. She is the one who made us parents and we couldn't be prouder. There is so much we love about her! Here are just a few things. We just love how she has so much energy and wants to try everything in the world. How she just loves gymnastics and swimming and to play hide and go seek and chase and ride her bike all day long. How she is so proud to be a big sister. She just adores Savana and is my best mommy helper. She helps me vacuum, wash & dry clothes, fold laundry, cook, clean...etc. (no joke!) She can even change her sister's wet diaper all by herself from start to finish (don't worry I am watching her). Her favorite food besides fruit snacks is chocolate (that's my girl!) She loves to sing and dance and perform constantly. We love her imagination too. She comes up with the wildest stories! She is our first little sweetheart and angel and we love her very much!

Christmas and New Years

We spent Christmas in Florida this year and then went to visit our families out west for the New Year.

Uncle Roger and Desiree also came over for our Christmas Eve dinner and to exchange presents!

Christmas morning at 5am, right before the present opening binge began. Yes, that is what time Baylee came running into our room screaming with excitement that Santa did actually come!

Savana got lots of bibs from Santa...she is quite the spitter upper and goes through about 10 a day...no joke!

Baylee got her "Farm with a Barn" from Santa, and yes, she even got her diapers and fruit snacks!
Omi and Opa got Baylee a new big girl bike! The first time she got on it, she rode around the block about 5 times! She loves it! Thank you!!!

After Christmas we flew out west to visit family. We arrived at the SLC airport about 20 minutes before Louis's youngest brother returned from his mission in Texas. Congrats on a great mission Wil, we are so proud of you and are glad you are back!

We then headed to Wyoming to spend the week with Louis's family. Baylee had a ball with all of her cousins again! Here is a pic of the whole crew-all 12 of them!

Today was my first day back as the Nursery Leader at church and it was nice and calm for the most part because my wild child Baylee thankfully went into the Primary---whahoooooo! Some other poor soul gets to put up with my fire cracker! Baylee will be 3 in two weeks so we decided to put her in Sunbeams. She was all smiles after church today and said that she sang songs with the big kids, played games, and the teacher gave her M&Ms! The teacher said she was really good too. Yeah for everyone!

You would never think this sweet and innocent face would cause any TROUBLE...

...BUT it does!

Everyday is something new with Baylee, but this was pretty scary. I almost burned the house down last night! When you have a 2 year old ALWAYS check inside your oven before you begin to pre-heat IT! She had put a dry dish rag in the oven and it was seconds from catching on fire! Thank goodness I caught it on time! I really have to be one step ahead of this girl.

She is an interesting child I tell you. I had to intervene because Santa would be pretty confused...

She really saw one in a toy magazine recently. So Santa's little Elves better get on that...even though Louis thinks we should still get her fruit snacks and diapers instead.

The Celebrations Continue...

My hubby turned 28 on Monday and we had a wild bowling party! Baylee thought it was the greatest birthday party ever! It was the first time she had ever been bowling and she had a blast. We all had a lot of fun, especially Louis because he dominated the games! I am so proud of your bowling skills honey...but more so to be your wife! I love you so much!

Savana is growing like a weed! She was 10 lbs. 10 oz. and 21.5 inches at her one month appointment. She is still a sleepy head (which we don't mind at all) and just sweet as can be when she is awake. We are so blessed!

Another Year and Another Week...

I turned 31 on Sunday and little Savana 3 weeks. I had a low key birthday celebrating with my family at home. All I wanted to do was relax on my day after a busy Sunday with Louis gone from 8:30pm-5:30pm. Louis got me a fancy pants camera for my birthday that I got a month earlier since I wanted it for Savana's arrival. I just love taking pix with it! So I am posting another photo shoot, enjoy!

2 Week Photo Shoot & Constant Attention

My little Savana is 2 1/2 weeks old and is such a sweet girl. She is still a very easy baby, sleeping most of her little life away. Her sister on the other hand has been more than a handful! As much as Baylee loves to help with her baby sister, she has been really jealous lately. Here are some of the things she has done to try to get my constant attention:

1. piddling on the floor!

2. covering her entire naked body with a brand new bottle of Desitin (not easy to wash off btw!)

3. emptying 2 large bottles of baby powder on the carpet (at least the room smells good)

4. picking up fresh dog poop with her bare hands from the backyard and bringing it in the house

5. wetting the bed (something she has only done once in her life and it was a long time ago!)

6. walking around with a diaper she put on herself and having one of Savana's binkys in her mouth at the same time

7. having to wear one of Savana's bibs every time she eats now

8. spilling everything that can possibly be spilled and make a huge mess

9. begging for me to nurse her

10. wanting me to give her a sponge bath with Savana

11. and constantly needing me to help her with EVERYTHING! Even though she can do all of it herself

It has been really hard since all of our families have left and I have been on my own. I just pray that this phase passes quickly!

A busy First Week...

Savana had a busy first week of life. Besides having lots of friends and family visit, she had her first Halloween and her Baby Blessing! Needless to say, she slept through all the events. She has been such a good baby so far. She is a real sleepy baby. I have to wake her up for most of her feedings and she rarely fusses or cries. I am just waiting for her real personality to shine through any day now. Baylee just absolutley adores her and can't get enough of her still. She helps with everything and thinks she can do it all...I have to really watch out for her! I am recovering great from the delivery--so much better than a c-section! It has been wonderful having family around to help out too! Thank you so much everyone!

Special Delivery...

After 23 LONG hours of NATURAL labor (3 hours of pushing!!!!), I was able to deliver my baby girl in a successsful VBAC. Savana Dahn made her debue on Sunday October 25th, 3 days after her due date. Her delivery was the hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life, but I had the most gratifying reward in the end. The pain was worth every second after finally seeing my baby girl for the first time! I had the most wonderful doula and the best support team from Louis and my mom! I could not have done it without them or my OB, who I think is the best doctor in the world! Thank you to all!!!

The Waiting Game...

So I have to say that I never thought I would reach my due date, but I have! Today was the official day and still I sit here like a balloon that needs to be popped. My OB and I thought for sure that I would go early, but now I know that my baby will come when she is ready. Louis thinks that she is already a "stubborn Isom" and that we are in big trouble!

But it has been a really nice week with my family here and not having to go into work. Along with relaxing, I have been walking 2-3 miles everyday to get this labor going. I am having a lot of contractions throughout the day, but nothing consistant. Today we all decided to spend one last family day at the beach! It was a lot of fun!

Sprinkle

The girls from Church insisted on giving me a little Sprinkle this morning! It was too nice of them. We got together at Panera for breakfast and they spoiled me with tons of gifts! This Savana girl is seriously spoiled already! I also had my 39 week check up today and the doc thinks she will come in the next week for sure! I am counting on it! My official due date is the 22nd, so she better get here by then. I am more than ready...I got my spa pedicaure and manicure and my hair did yesterday! It's show time!

Baby Shower

Louis told me the other day that he was going to take me out on probably our last date before our baby comes this Saturday night. So when we got to the restaurant last night it was actually a surprise baby shower my friends had planned for me! It was so nice of them considering I am having a another girl! They are so sweet! I was really shocked and just so happy for all the wonderful things they did for me!

Another Update...

I am almost 37 weeks along and went to the doctor today for another ultrasound to look at my little baby's kidneys, and they are doing better! Thank you for everyone's prayers. Her kidneys are not as dilated as before. So hopefully they will be in the normal range by the time she is born. Everything else is perfectly healthy though! From the ultrasound the doctor already estimated that she is 7 lbs. too! She is going to big baby like Baylee. However, my stomach is still measuring 2 weeks smaller. It explains the sciatica I have had for a week now though. She is sitting really low and deep and putting a lot of pressure on my back. THERE IS NO WORSE PAIN THAN THIS, I TELL YOU!!! If anyone has ever experienced sciatica you know what I am talking about, and being pregnant with it makes the pain so much worse. I am more than excited for her to get here now. I hope I survive this back pain until she gets here!

Front Flips

After Gymnastics last week, Baylee's coach comes out and says you will never believe what your daughter did today in class. She said that Baylee did a front flip on the trampoline and landed on her feet all by herself! She said she has never seen a 2 year old just do that on her own! I wasn't too surprised because she is always jumping and flipping off everything. She is too wild! I am just praying that she doesn't get herself hurt! I couldn't get her on video in gymnastics but here she is showing us how she does a front flip into the pool!

Pregnancy Update

Here are pix at 33 weeks. Only 7 more until D-Day! I went to my appointment this week and my doctor said that I haven't gained any weight since my last check up 2 weeks ago and that I am still measuring at 31 weeks. I went to a specialist to have a more detailed ultrasound to check our little girl and she measured 4 lbs 6 oz. That was perfect the doctor said. However her kidneys are a little bit dilated where she is retaining too much urine(fetal pyelectasis). The doctor said that it is a pretty common thing and that they would be checking her in 4 weeks to see if it has resolved. If it hasn't it should go away in the first few months after birth. We are really hoping because sometimes it doesn't. Please keep her in your prayers for us. Louis and I started taking a hypnobirthing class this week too and I love it! I highly recommend it as a relaxation technique to prepare for labor...hopefully it works for me! I am trying for an all natural VBAC- yikes!

When I took her into the classroom she went straight to the toys and never looked back! She was so happy to go! When I went to pick her up the teachers told me that she did so good too!

Bahama Mama

We took our last family trip before our next baby comes in 8 weeks! We ventured over to the Bahamas for a few days and had a blast!

We spent most of our time at Atlantis, an island about 1 mile off the coast of Nassau. It was really a "Paradise Island" as the locals call it! The arch between the 2 hotel towers below is actually a hotel suite that costs 25K a night and you have to book at least 4 nights to stay there. Louis said that the next time we go that we could book that room...only 100k, right! But supposedly we have to wait because they are booked for the next 4 years already!!!!

Baylee had a ball at the resort's water park! She did hours of nonstop waterslides with her daddy!

Atlantis also has one of the largest sea aquariums in the world. It was unbelievable!

4 Years Strong...

Louis and I had our 4 year Wedding Anniversary on the 3rd. Louis surprised me with a beautiful orchid and concert tickets for another day. I had to work that day so I didn't expect to do anything, but when I got home he had Baylee already at the babysitters and fancy dinner reservations made! What a great hubby!!! The food was unbelievable and we even went and got ice cream and a half pound block of fudge from my favorite little dessert place afterwards...so yummy when you are pregnant! It was such a good night!! I am so grateful for the wonderful man in my life! I love you honey!
